Meet the Temptations is the 1964 debut album by 
The Temptations for the Gordy (Motown) label.
 It includes most of the group's early singles except for the first, 
"Oh Mother of Mine", and its b-side,
 "Romance Without Finance" (later included on a CD reissue of the LP);
 as well as the single
"Mind Over Matter" (and its b-side "I'll Love You Till I Die"), 
in which the group is credited as The Pirates.
 Also included is the first Temptations hit single, "The Way You Do the Things You Do".

The Platters are an American vocal group formed in 1952.
They are one of the most successful vocal groups of the
early rock and roll era. Their distinctive sound bridges

the years, earning it the branding tag "Many Voices One Name",
with the most successful incarnation comprising lead tenor

Sophisticated Soul is the eighth album issued by Motown girl-group
the Marvelettes. It is the first album to feature Ann Bogan who replaced
 Gladys Horton in 1967 (although Horton's voice is featured on a few of the tracks),
 and most of the lead vocals are by Wanda Young. Like many Motown albums
 produced in the late 1960s, Sophisticated Soul featured backing from the Andantes,
 Motown's premier backing group, on certain tracks,
others feature Bogan and Katherine Anderson.
